The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has a comprehensive Child Protection policy which is enforced by the South Hams Tennis Academy (SHTA) and strives to ensure that Tennis is a safe, friendly and enjoyable experience for all young people.

The SHTA is committed to making sure that children enjoy Tennis in a safe environment in which they are protected from any form of abuse. The LTA Child Protection policy works to maintain this fundamental right of young people. It also instils good practice and raises awareness for everyone involved in the game. The policy is backed up by training and education and a sensitive process to respond to concerns.

Working together with the NSPCC, the LTA has developed policies and procedures to ensure that all reported concerns or allegations are investigated, which the SHTA has adopted. We believe that the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility.

You can view the full Child Protection policy from this page, as well as an LTA Code of Conduct for those working with children, which are enforced by the SHTA.
